It was a different 'COVID crisis' when the book of Revelations was given to John.
A Roman Empire-wide condition was the background of the book: trying and evil times. One of the message God sent to the churches are the words in Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
This living and powerful words is both comforting and sad truth. Comforting because this shows how near the Lord is in times of crisis -He is just at the door; Sad because it shows how he was rejected by others - outside their lives - out at the door, at times when they needed Him the most.
The message is clear in Rev. 3:20. He is just around, observing and watching us, waiting for our right response. Keep the faith and stay safe always.
P.S. btw Revelation was given on Sunday - Lord's Day - Happy worship, everyone! :)
